Product highlights from 3M™
Since 1980, 3M™ has offered an alternative to conventional mechanical fastening systems with its VHB™ adhesive tapes. The high-performance bonding tapes enable the permanent, tension-free bonding of different materials such as metal and glass. For universal applications, for example without special temperature requirements, the economically highly attractive RP series (RP16, RP25, RP32, RP45) has been designed. In addition, there are highly transparent versions (3M™ 4905, 4910, 4918), variants for bonding before (3M™ 4646, 4611, and new: GPH 060 and GPH 110) and after (3M™ 5915, 5925, 5952) powder coating and versions especially for applications on low-energy surfaces (3M™ 4932, 4952). For these surfaces that are difficult to bond, 3M™ also offers solutions for constructive bonding with the DP8005 and DP8010 products from the Scotch-Weld adhesives range that are suitable for the EPX system.
In the area of 2-component acrylate adhesives, 3M™ offers high-strength, easy-to-use and, above all, low-odour adhesive systems with the products DP8405NS, DP8810NS and other variants. In addition, 3M™ offers many innovative and high-performance special adhesive tapes.
The company 3M™ was founded in 1902 as Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Co. and has its headquarters in St. Paul/Minnesota, USA. Today, the "multi-technology company" is based in Germany with 3M™ Deutschland GmbH headquartered in Neuss and has 6,700 employees.
As a highly innovative company, 3M™ is active in almost all industrial sectors and has also made a name for itself worldwide outside the industrial sector with products such as Post-it® adhesive notes and Scotch-Brite™ cleaning products.
For industry, 3M offers abrasives as well as occupational health and safety products and above all innovative adhesive tapes and adhesives. As a result, and especially with the development of VHB™ adhesive tapes, 3M™ has established itself as a competent partner for bonding applications of all kinds, offering both permanent and removable bonds.

ecame a tesa Platinum Converter Partner!

This award documents and sustainably strengthens our close cooperation and partnership. In addition to products that have been extremely well-established for years, such as tesa duct tape 4662, the higher-quality fabric tape 4688 available in various colours, the probably best-known premium fabric adhesive tape 4651, or double-sided adhesive tapes such as tesa 4965, we also accompany product launches such as the specially cross-linked, double-sided adhesive PE foams, e. g. With the ACXplus series in particular, which was launched in 2012, tesa has brought a new class of double-sided adhesive tapes for constructive, permanent connections onto the market. These double-sided high-performance adhesive tapes are used primarily in the automotive industry and in construction when an invisible, permanent, and above all tension-equalising connection of different materials is required. FFT sells the ACXplus, just like all other tesa fabric adhesive tapes, masking tapes, masking tapes, or double-sided adhesive tapes, in any desired dimension from 3mm on a roll, cross-wound, or also as an individually manufactured die-cut part, precisely tailored to your application - and that from batch size one.
tesa goes green
In addition to the constant optimisation of its portfolio of single-sided and double-sided adhesive tapes for industry and consumers, tesa is increasingly focusing on sustainably produced adhesive tape solutions. The newly launched ACXplus series, for example, uses 50 percent less solvents in the manufacturing process than comparable products. These double-sided high-performance adhesive tapes from the ACXplus family, such as the highly transparent 7054 or the particularly strong 7066, are manufactured in Hamburg using a special technology that has received an award from the German Federal Ministry for the Environment.
Today's tesa SE was founded in 1941 by Hugo Kirchberg in Hamburg and has since specialised in the production of adhesive tapes and other self-adhesive products for consumers and, above all, industry. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Beiersdorf AG, around 80 per cent of tesa's total sales (approx. EUR 1.15 billion in 2016, 4,150 employees worldwide) are generated by technical adhesive tapes and self-adhesive solutions for industry, and 20 per cent by the consumer business, such as through tesafilm. In the industrial sector, the focus is particularly on the automotive, electronics and paper and printing industries.
